SSC (MTS) Detailed Syllabus:
The Staff Selection Commission, or SSC, is looking to hire people for Group C positions as Multi-Tasking Staff, or MTS, in various states and territories. If you're interested in applying for one of these positions, here's what you should know about the syllabus.
Syllabus for Paper-I
The test for "General Intelligence and Reasoning" will include non-verbal questions that are related to the tasks of the job. The "Numerical Aptitude" and "General English" sections will have simple questions that a person who has completed high school should be able to answer without difficulty. The "General Awareness" section will also have similar level of questions.

General
Intelligence: This section will contain questions from:
- Similarities and differences,
- Space visualization,
- Problem solving
- Judgment
- Decision making
- Visual memory
- Discriminating observation
- Relationship concepts
- Figure classification
- Arithmetical number series,
- Nonverbal series etc.
This examination also asks questions to test the candidate’s abilities to check how the candidate deals with ideas and symbols and their relationship.
English Language: This section includes basics of English:
- Grammar
- Vocabulary
- Synonyms
- Antonyms
- Sentence Framing
- Error Detection
General Awareness: This section will comprise of questions from:
- General Studies
- History
- Geography
- General Polity
- Culture
- General Economics
- General Science
- Current Affairs
Important Notice: For candidates with a VH candidates of 40% or higher
who choose to use a scribe, the General Intelligence & Reasoning / General
Awareness Paper will not include any questions about maps, graphs, diagrams, or
statistical data.
